I'm not going to lie #COVID19 put me in a funk, canceled two big events booked for April and May, and has temporarily turned the hospitality industry upside down. Large gatherings and live events may be postponed or completely cancelled, but there's no way I can keep a year of hard work to myself.
My client had a beautiful vision for his wife's 30th birthday party earlier this month that was inspired by Jay-z's Roc Nation Brunch. Floral arrangements and centerpieces were designed by Bowerbird Florals who would have used a variety peonies, hydrangea bunches, roses, baby breath and lots of greenery for a fresh, spring look.
We chose Tuscany Shell linen for the guest tables and velvet Casablanca Blush from CE Rental for the head table creating a neutral color scheme for this spring garden brunch.
The tablescape for this look consists of glass beaded chargers, mixed metal votives, candles in gold glass boxes, custom hexagon acrylic seating assignments and gold chivari chairs.
It's not a birthday party without CAKE! We worked with Sugar Euphoria who created 3-tier buttercream cake with florals. The top layer would have been lemon buttercream for the birthday girl and vanilla for the bottom two layers. The background for the birthday cake would have been a vintage photo gallery on grassy walls with photos of Rae as a child. This surprise would have been a tear jerker!
